Dad complained dat he was breathless n has no strength at all to walk last wed (10-Aug), so we sent him to the A&E at CGH (Changi General Hospital) ard 8.30pm. Aft a 2hr wait, the doc said dat dad's oxygen is nt enough which explained y he's feelin breathless... Oni need to be warded for 1-2 days. So after completing the admission at the ward (dat damn nurse took 45mins to complete the form... upon completion also nv tell us, make us stand there like goondus. Lucky i asked the staff nurse, else tink we'll be there till past midnite) we went home.

The bombshell dropped the next day, the nurse suddenly called me in the aftn when i was at wk and asked us to go to CGH immediately... i asked her wat happened n she replyed dat my dad's condition was very bad n he can collaspe anytime.. hearing dat, i immediately called my sis n my mum to go to CGH and applied for urgent leave.

Upon reaching CGH, my dad had already lost conscious and the docs were busy rescuing him... nv in my life had i seen so helpless... my mum, sis n i all burst into tears... we were afraid dat the worst was to com... over the yrs, although dad was always in n out of the hospitals, nv had he been in such a serious condition dat he lost his consiousness... he was sent to the icu and had to be put on the ventilator...

we prayed dat he'll regain conscious soon n GOD answered our prayers. Dad was awake on Fri (12-aug) aftn when we visited him. Though he is unable to tok to us, we could at least communicate through writing... it was a relieve to us all... after so many days on the ventilator.. the doc will check today whether dad could be wean off the ventilator to breathe on his own.. I hope for the best.

Reflecting on the past few days... mi n sis realised dat although there were times when we really hated dad (coz of his nagging, etc), in our heart we still loved him dearly..
