Yesterday Singapore turn the Big 4... how time seems to flies... Singapore was 16th going on 17th when i was born, now she's 4ty already.. we went down to our old place at purvis street which was near to the padang where the NDP was to be held at tis yr... coz we wan our nephew to experience the atmosphere of the celebration.

We took the mrt and reached city hall stn ard 2.15, by the time we walked to the traffic light junction opp raffles hotel (grand old dame of Singapore), we caught the mobile column which was on the while to beach road for their standby... We felt veri lucky to be able to catch all these in actions before the ppl at the NDP as we oni expect to catch them in the evening... tink all these took ard 15mins, coz there were the all the transports from the army, navy, police, civil defence, etc... my nephew was so excited upon seeing all these and kept waving to them... the guys waved back too much to our delight! I guessed national day is a day where u can see the most guys ard... and lots of cute guys in the uniform... kekeke...

After watching the mobile column, we went to our old place for a late luncheon (3pm liao), had chicken rice at the famous JinJin... but i tink their standard drop liao... spent SGD47 on juz a whole chicken, hainanese pork chop & vegetable (drinks n rice incl.). dats beri expensive lor... but courtesy of my hubby... After dat my sis treated us to a movie... we watched The Maid... quite a horror to mi (coz i scare to see horror movie).. so surprise dat my nephew can sit still throughout the movie w/o making noises.... he even fell asleep in the end... haha... movie ended at 6.30pm.

Haha... managed to catched the mobile column again and the air force in action too... after all these we walked all the way to raffles hotel outside... stand at the side of the road and wait for the fireworks... tink we waited ard 20mins juz for the fireworks... it was briliant and worth the time waiting.... feel so happy to haf hubby by my side to catch tis moment... these end ard 9pm and we caught the bus home... my nephew havin spent such an energetic day.. waving to the army guys n watching a movie spent the journey home sleeping...

wat a fun day we had... wish the ndp will be at the padang every day, so dat if we dun managed to get the tickets, still can go n experience the fun at marina south... but maybe next yr we shall spent $$ n book the hotel at Westin to catch a better view.
