okokok... furniture n electric appliances seem to like breaking down at the same time... cushions of the 20++ yrs sofa has the foam coming off like sawdust (the cushions were changed once a few yrs bac)... damnit, everything time change the cushion covers sure must end up mopping the floor like siao... next is the dunno how old already window air-con unit dat comes free with tis re-sale flat.... the cold air dies down after ard 8hrs.. a day later can last oni abt 6hrs...
so thur went to compass pt to shop for new air-con at gain city.... salesman's was beri patient and explained to us abt the air-con *thumbs up*. last time oni sis's rm got air-con, tis time we'll be getting the system 3 so mi n mum's rm also haf aircon.... we were actually going for the mitsubishi starmex inverter... but after hearing the salesman's explaination, we went for the Toshiba inverter... price was reasonable too, ard SGD200-300 cheaper den mitsubishi.... after deciding on the air-con, we signed on for the extended 4yrs warranty & 2yrs service contract... total amt come up to SGD3121 aft a discount, installation will be on coming mon 28-Nov. Yipee... finally left the shop after spending more den an hr there....
was tinking maybe can go get dinner liao (we went to ya kun earlier) as we were hungry when mum asked where is the shop selling seahorse brand furniture (it's Hecom or "xuan qin"). we had saw in the papers that there were havin a sale and the L-shape sofa was going at oni SGD499.50 (u.p. SGD999).... true enough the price was as advertised in the papers, after lookin ard, we decided to get the L-shape 4-seater sofa i/o of the standard L-shape 3-seater we see out there... aniway we got big living-room mah. i tot the sofa can be delivered in a few days, but i was wrong as the sofa were all made-to-order from the factory in Hkg aft which it'll be shipped to S'pore... whole process is ard 1mth, we'll get ours delivered on x'mas eve... juz in case the new sofa cover gets dirty, we paid another SGD139.50 to make the extra cover. didn't tink much of getting a coffee table to go along with the sofa.
today went tpy with mum n davien coz need to go hdb sign legal letter... i tot can collect the lease agreement liao... in end oni spend 5min signing the stupid letter... we had to wait another 3-6mths before we can get the new lease agreement. so WOLS (read "SLOW" fm behind).
went for lunch at food court den proceed to walk ard tpy looking for new curtains... didn't manage to get any new curtains as all nt nice one, i would rather use my old ones as it's still quite new mah. eventually went to a furniture shop... mum commented that we should get a new coffee table to go along with the new sofa... i tink so too as the old 20yrs one wun suit our new sofa... half way thru chosing, mum tinks the tv-cabinet going to spoilt also (note: all the furniture in my hse at least for 15-20yrs liao except for the beds, fridge & toilet accessories) so i koe she mean wan to buy new tv console lor... haha guess the new doesn't come if the old doesn't goes (jiu de bu qu, xin de bu lai).... spend another 1hr++ there choosing the coffee table n tv console since it was raining heavily.... come to tink of it, the current tv cabinet has a space for our wine & liqour but the new tv console doesn't have, in the end... we ordered a cabinet w/glass door for the wine & liqour.... total damage = SGD760.
now i'm still deciding whether to spend another SGD168-188 for the armchair dats shaped like a hand, it can be swivel 180degrees but dunno got space to put anot... told the furniture shop owner dat i'll decide whether i wan to buy it anot after all the furniture is delivered... sigh... dunno wat to to.....

haven been really blogging recently... seem like more n more ppl are getting into trouble from writing bloggies... i had a fren who had to stop blogging aft her company issued a warning against blogging...
well, was busy over the past few days planning for a trip to Hkg during mar'06. Have already confirmed the dates 20-24 mar'06. will be going with my mum, sis n nephew.. no... the men are nt going except for the little boy. i supposed they are nt interested to travel with a bunch of women who's going to sight-see, play & shop.
got my air-tickets from SIA which is having a promotion from 01-oct'05 to 31-mar'06, cost us ard SGD1900 for 3 adult tics & 1 children tic... as for hotel, we've booked one nite for the park view room at the disneyland hotel for a whooping SGD429... dat sure wasn't cheap, therefore i pray dat the $$$ is well spent... and tis does not includes the tickets to disneyland, we had the tickets reserved oni.... the remaining 3 nites, we've booked the new 5-star hotel at kowloon, the langham place hotel... the hotel's own website was selling the rates at ard SGD400 for the executive room, we managed to booked the same room through octopustravel for SGD332... which is a savings of SGD120/nite for 2 rooms. nw i still searching ard for good rates on the airport transfer to disneyland, transport fm disneyland to langham place hotel & lastly airport transfer again fm langham place hotel to the airport. wish mi luck!!
really looking forward to tis trip as the last time i'm in hkg was in 2001... tis a time to bring my mum to "shan xin" and spend some quality family time w/o the men.

ever since dad passed away last mth... i juz dun haf da mood to continue writing my bloggie n playing my favourite pc game The Sims2... well life juz gotta go on... things are slowing going bac to normal... juz dat there is something missing... missing from my life but always has a place in my heart.... sometimes... the mere thought of dad will make my eyes glisten wif tears.. how my innocent & naive nephew will ask us where is grandpa... how mum tok abt the last time she saw dad n breakin into tears at the thought of it... i kow its a relief to dad dat the suffering has ended, but i somehow still wish he was well n still around.... when i was small, dad will dote on me alot.. buying me presents for my b-day n fetching me to n from sch... though occasionally there was the cane when mi n sis were naughty... i knew dat dad had high hopes on mi n there were times when i disappoint him n let him down... he still forgive mi.... in our memories, dad is not a person who always smile (it's hard to find him in photos smiling)...over the yrs dad's health deteriorated... he was always in n out of the hospital every alternate yr until it became frequent tis yr... i know dad had always hope to see sis n mi married, and if God's willing, to see any grandchild before his gone... he had two wish fulfiled only... when sis married in aug'02 & gave birth to Davien in jan'03. Davien become dad's pride n joy (we always said Davien was dad's golden grandson)... dat was when you can see dad smiling everyday... playing wif Davien n teaching him how to walk n talk... we could say dat Davien lead my dad by his nose.. dad nv got his last wish fulfiled... to see me have my customary wedding and mi & hubby serve him tea... dat was my biggest regret in life.. if only i had listen to mum to serve him the tea 1st... i had hoped dat dad will fight on and see mi on my Big Day. our next regret was dat there wasn't any proper family photo.. mum had ask dad to take a family photo at the studio, but he simply refused... we still dun know why... was it plain superstitious or he juz dun wish to take one?? tis we'll nv know... there are simply juz too many "if only"somehow the tears juz keep flowing down when i'm writing tis blog... we can all be putting up a strong front but i know all of us are greiving silently in our hearts.... especially mum who has lost her soulmate of more den 30yrs... i guess i shall stop.. else i will juz go on n on n on..............................................

was actually supposed to be posting the pics of my KL trip, but the trip was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances... my dad passed away on 27th oct, 2 days before the trip... it came as a shocked to all of us... the funeral was over yesterday.. shall nt tok too much here...
