hehe, more den a month of not blogging either here or in the wedding blog.
updates for the previous post, our wedding date gonna remain on 22dec2007... yipee. coz the so so date dat 14Oct2007 which we intend to switch to was been booked by another couple juz a few hours b4 i called up Eric, the banquet manager.
as i mentioned in my wedding blog, we've booked an EA (executive apartment). well, the decision to buy our own place was not in our initial plan at all. it came all of a sudden n make mi turn into a frenzy looking at the HDB website for suitable places. end up all so lousy, so waited for the new WIS (walk-in selection) to be released. coz HDB will be releasing units in Hougang, Sengkang & Punggol. wait n wait until sian den suddenly on 06Nov gotten a shock fm the radio at 7.15am dat the WIS is on. make mi jump fm the bed and commanded hubby to take urgent leave to go now TPY HDB hub to queue. quickly bathe n went down, reached there at 8.10am and gotten queue no. 185. yada yada yada, given appt for selection on 08Nov aftn. kaoz, oni two days n wan us to decide where we wan to buy. spent two nites touring hougang and decided to on the EA at Compassvale St., Sengkang. we've actually wanted to purchase 5rm, but too many re-purchase flats liao and hubby nt interested in 4rm, so oni left EA on the list. now waiting for HDB to send us letter to collect keys.... another long wait.
ok, now book flat liao. next thing on mind is renovation. contractor or interior designer (ID)? cash or renovation loan? big headache again but solved last sat. went to expo to attend s'pore home design with hubby. tok to a few IDs and hubby decided on Orange Cube (cute name!!). i told hubby once he made up his mind cannot regret coz is signing away tens of thousand (est. at least $20k ba), dun com n blame me. so on the dotted line we signed.
